Overview

Homae ("we", "our", or "the app") is a circadian synchronization application developed by Akram Alhawsawi. We are committed to protecting your biological data and personal information with the highest standards of privacy and security.

This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and your rights over it.

Data We Collect

Health & Biometric Data ON-DEVICE ONLY

With your explicit permission, Homae reads the following data from Apple HealthKit:

Resting Heart Rate (RHR)
Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
Wrist skin temperature (Apple Watch Series 6+)
Sleep analysis and sleep stages
Step count and physical activity

This data is processed entirely on your device using Apple's CoreML framework. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Email address (used for account creation and authentication)
Display name (optional)
Preferred language

Trip & Travel Data

Origin and destination cities
Flight departure date and duration
Number of time zones crossed

This data is used solely to generate your personalized circadian sync protocol.

Sleep time and wake time preferences
Wearable device preferences
Agent autonomy settings
In-app purchase and subscription status

How We Use Your Data

Calculate your personal CBTmin (Core Body Temperature minimum) — your biological clock anchor
Generate personalized light, meal, sleep, and exercise protocols
Sync your circadian rhythm across time zones
Authenticate your account securely
Restore your profile on a new device
Send local notifications for protocol adherence (no push marketing)

Data Storage & Security

All health and biometric data stays on your device. We use Apple's Data Protection API (.completeFileProtection) and iOS Keychain to encrypt sensitive values at rest.

Account credentials and user preferences are stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified backend platform. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.3.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers — ever.

Third-Party Services

Supabase — Authentication and encrypted profile backup. Privacy Policy
Apple HealthKit — Read-only biometric data access. Governed by Apple's privacy framework.
Apple StoreKit — In-app purchase processing. No payment data is handled by Homae directly.

HealthKit Data

Homae requests read access to HealthKit for the sole purpose of calculating your circadian phase. We do not write health data to HealthKit, and HealthKit data is never used for advertising or sold to third parties, in compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

Subscriptions & Purchases

Homae offers auto-renewable subscriptions (Monthly and Annual) and a one-time consumable purchase (Single Trip). All billing is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not store or process payment card information.

Subscription management and cancellation is available through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iOS device.

Children's Privacy

Homae is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

Your Rights

Access — Request a copy of all data we hold about you
Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app or by contacting us
Correction — Update your profile information within the app
Portability — Export your data upon request
HealthKit revocation — Revoke HealthKit access at any time from iOS Settings → Privacy → Health

Data Retention

Account data is retained until you delete your account. Local biometric data is stored on-device and can be cleared by deleting the app. Upon account deletion, all server-side data is permanently erased within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Homae after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
